“Copper Boss” based on a Triumph by Lord Drake Kustoms in ChopperON

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A Belgian dealer was the germ of this custom Triumph motorcycle: the Copper Boss of Lord Drake Kustoms. A vintage Street Tracker that has marked a before and after in this type of motorcycle.

We leave you with the report that ChopperOn, a magazine specialized in the custom world in Spain, made in its number 90, in April 2016.

Copper Boss by Lord Drake Kustoms

Vintage street tracker

This Bonneville, is one of the orders that one of the most important Triumph dealers in Europe (located in Belgium) have made to LDK

Text and images: Lord Drake Kustoms

A little over a year ago, the owners of the Belgian dealer visited Francisco Ali Manén to learn about his work and the facilities of Lord Drake Kustoms in Spain.

That visit, became an agreement so that Lord Drake Kustoms will begin to modify and customize motorcycles for the aforementioned Triumph dealer.

This bike must be different from everything seen with the Bonneville and the “Copper Boss” is the result.

Practically left the owner of LDK, carte blanche to do what he wanted with the bike and only gave him a note: “Street tracker with very urban airs.”

And Francisco had it very clear: Nothing of black, gray or brown typical colors! No anti-heat tape in the leaks! No long board seat, no arc at the end of the chassis and no Firestone tires!

“Elements that apparently have become characteristic in most Triumphs when they are customized, whatever their style” Francisco tells us.

Elegant the color ivory. For being the famous British brand, he decided to combine the ivory with a tone “British racing green” that resulted in a somewhat lighter green but original Triumph. And finally it was necessary to give it a striking and alive and at the same time vintage touch: the aged copper color was decisive for it.

The gas tank was completely created for this motorcycle. The entire rear section was made of metal with a slightly different style than what we are used to seeing, the seat and its upholstery was totally handy for this bike. In addition to many other modifications and small details such as the integrated rear lights inside the own bars of the bike’s chassis. And the most important; details and immaculate finishes and outstanding even in the last screw of the motorcycle.

This bike was presented in Belgium a few months ago; and it has caused a before and after in the concept of modification of these bikes.

For more information or if you are interested in customizing a motorcycle, you can contact Lord Drake Kustoms in Spain (Málaga). They offer a free collection and delivery service throughout the Peninsula and the rest of Europe

“Bultracker 75” the Scrambler based of a Sportster by Lord Drake Kustoms in ChopperOn

“Bultracker 75” the Scrambler based of a Sportster by Lord Drake Kustoms in ChopperOn

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ChoperON is another of the spanish  magazines dedicated to the world of motorcycling and customization. This time we bring you a report of his number 88 in December 2015 to show our Bultracker 75.

BULTRACKER 75 – THE ONE OF THE YEAR

Due to the sales success of the Sportster converted to Scrambler by Lord Drake Kustoms, it was time to make a new unit. This time Francisco Manén, owner of LDK, wanted to make some more risky colors and combining elements and designs from his previous scrambler lines: the sportracker and the bultracker.

Text and photos: Francisco Alí Manén

The result was this scrambler, which without thinking, remembers by its color to the graphics and colors of the Castrol brand: dark green pearl, silver and red details. To give it a more classic touch, Francisco Manén opted to put the fenders in chrome.

The tank used in the Sportracker line was combined with the front wheel of 21 “to give it a classic” moto cross “type air. The engine is an 883 injection with the transmission converted to chain with a longer and sporty development.

Tired of looking for numbers with some meaning for motorcycles, the owner of LDK, had it easy this time: the number 75, which is his year of birth: “So many years doing motorcycles and looking for a number for them and never made one with a number that had relation with me, because it was time “

This motorcycle is located in the facilities of Lord Drake Kustoms in Spain, and is now available for sale; including in its price homologation, transfer and free shipping to all of Spain and the rest of Europe.

“So many years doing motorcycles and looking for a number for them and I never made one with a number that was related to me, because it was time”

For some years Lord Drake Kustoms is the company responsible for modifying and making custom bikes for several dealers of the American brand. Two of these dealerships are in Florida (USA) where LDK has its facilities for almost eight years now. And since the opening of the new branch in Spain (Malaga), almost two years ago, they have made custom bikes for two Triumph dealers (one in England and one in Belgium) and Harley dealers in Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and Spain. At this time the owner of LDK (Francisco Alí Manén), is closing an agreement with another dealership in the Middle East.

LDK has facilities in Malaga, from where it offers service of transformation and modification of motorcycles for all Spain and the rest of Europe … regardless of the style or brand of the bike and of course with budgets for all budgets!

BMW K75 Cafe Racer

BMW K75 Cafe Racer

This BMW K75 cafe racer has been customizedin our motorcycle transformation workshop in Spain and despite being a simple job, the result has been an elegant BMW K75 completely modified by the team led by Francisco Alí Manén.

Right side view

Customize your motorcycle or transform it or modify it, but do so thinking that afterwards all the reforms must be approved in order to pass the ITV and be able to have a legal motorcycle to circulate on the road. That is why at Lord Drake Kustoms we carry out all the modifications of custom motorcycles that we make in compliance with the vehicle approval regulations in Spain and in this transformed motorcycle we have followed that primordial rule.

Giving a new style to this BMW K75

The first thing was to disassemble the whole bike to customize it. Next, we proceeded to trim the original subframe of the bike and make a new one to house the new cafe racer tail made of fiber by hand. We also installed a higher monoshock for BMW K and lowered the front suspension.

Seat detail
Headlight

Semi-handlebars, large motorcycle headlight, Motogadget Tiny odometer, cafe racer tailpipe and other custom parts were supplied by our cafe racer accessories supplier, Customiza Tu Moto company.

“Trending Topic” based on a Harley by Lord Drake Kustoms in Biker Zone magazine

“Trending Topic” based on a Harley by Lord Drake Kustoms in Biker Zone magazine

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If we search within the new vocabulary that new technologies and social networks have given us in recent years, we will find many new words that have gradually been included in our day to day. One of them is “Trending Topic“, used to list the most current topics within one of the most famous social networks.

Also, it is the name that David Muñoz adopted for his new business project. That is why he contacted Lord Drake Kustoms to customize his Harley Softail Deuce and baptize it with the name of his new adventure.

In the following report that Biker Zone dedicated to this “Trending Topic” in its number 288 you will find more details of this incredible bike.

Trending Topic LORD DRAKE KUSTOMS

The Harley of the Hashtag (#)!

Fashion, accessories, elegance, a lot of class and, of course, trending topic, were the key words to carry out this project.

Text: Francisco Alí Manén Ranea – Photos: Alvaro Manén Ranea

A few months ago, David Muñoz, contacted Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga to tell them the idea he had about making a motorcycle on the basis of a Harley-Davidson Softail Deuce, which he had just acquired. Curiously, this project coincided in time with the launch by David of a new fashion and accessories brand called “Trending Topic”.

After the meeting between David and Francisco Ali, the owner of LDK, both concluded that this bike should be something different from what is usually proposed for Softail Deuce, and especially when this machine was going to be used as a corporate image in the launch of the clothing brand.

“It should be something different from what is usually proposed for Softail Deuce, and especially when this machine was going to be used as a corporate image”

Francisco Alí the challenge excited him for the possibilities it offered and also because the Softail Deuce is his favorite Harley, for being the first he had and because with it he started in the world of customization. And since that first unit, I had never returned to work with another Deuce.

The owner of Trending Topic made it clear that the motorcycle wanted it with a Penaut gas tank, which had to keep the original lenticular rim (which characterizes the Deuce models) and that it should carry the logo of its brand (hashtag).

From there Francisco started working on the project and after several tests it was determined that the motorcycle had to wear a black suit, with the exception of the gas tank that would be white, the usual color of the shirts that accompany this type of costumes … a significant detail and that so well reference to the brand of complements to which it was going to represent.

“To give an elegant and dark touch, it was decided to use darkened intermittent indicators incorporated in the cuffs and of mini dimensions for the rear part.”

It began by modifying and adapting a “Penaut” tank, replacing the ignition and contact and replacing the handlebar with a flat one to give the bike width. Later, the rear part of the chassis was modified and the rear fender type bobber with the LED integrated pilot was manufactured, as well as the floating seat without springs with the “Trending Topic” mark inserted in the rear part. Apart from many other details such as the front tire, the digital speedometer, etc., three elements were incorporated in the front of the bike that would break with the typical bobber look that the motorcycle was acquiring so far and that are: a dome, a keel-spoiler and a front grille. To give an elegant and dark touch it was decided to use darkened turn signals incorporated to the cuffs and of mini dimensions for the rear part.

The result, a motorcycle that, like the complements and the clothes of the brand it represents, is giving and will give a lot to talk about and wherever it goes it becomes a “trending topic” of the event … and as much as they are a pair of cufflinks like a tie or even this magnificent bike.

From Lord Drake Kustoms, we want to thank David Muñoz and the entire “Trending Topic” team for the trust placed in us and above all for the pleasantness that has been working with them in this project.

Thank you very much, good luck and especially that you are Trending Topic for a long time!
