The transformation of high performance bikes in Malaga and elsewhere in Spain, does not stop growing and more and more owners of naked-type motorcycles or large-displacement R-type sports motorcycles, who want to turn them into powerful hybrids between cafe racer or scrambler.

The growth of the motorcycle customization sector in Spain has been so great in recent years that not only are custom motorcycles or Harley transformed; But any motorcycle, whatever style it is, is valid to be modified or transformed into a cafe racer … even the “performance bikes” famous for their great power and to which until now only modifications related to performance were made.
Proof of this is that in our motorcycle transformation workshop in Malaga, we see the number of large displacement sports bikes increasing every day to be customized and transformed without a defined style at times, but with a unique and personal aesthetic. “I don’t care if it’s a cafe racer or scrambler modification, I just want to customize and give my bike a different touch,” many customers who own these performance bikes tell us.
For example, we have carried out modification and customization work for large-displacement motorcycles on models such as the Yamaha MT01, BMW R1200S, Ducati 999, BMW R NINE T or Buell 1125 R; To name a few of the performance bikes that we have turned into cafe racer bikes even with touches of scrambler.
In 2019, the total number of motorcycles in Spain was 3.1 million units, of which just over 14% were motorcycles with more than 84 hp of power or also called high-performance motorcycles or performance bikes. In Malaga, we are the fourth city in Spain with the highest number of motorcycles of this type, behind Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
These data make it clear that at the moment motorcycles enjoy a good acceptance throughout the country, and at Lord Drake Kustoms, after studying the sales statistics, we have again verified that in coastal areas and large cities, they are where the more acceptance motorcycles have.
It is for this reason that the transformation of high-performance motorcycles or performance bikes in Malaga and other cities such as Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia will not stop growing in the future …
So do not be surprised when you see real beasts on two wheels with the appearance of beautiful custom motorcycles or cafe racer … In the end the beasts have also chosen to take care of their image and become beautiful!
This 1980 BMW R100 is another example of the work that LDK is capable of when it is proposed to transform a classic BMW R motorcycle into something other than the typical cafe raceror scrambler motorcycle.
The team of highly qualified specialized BMW R series mechanics, who are part of the Lord Drake Kustoms staff in Spain , not only leave these classic motorcycles in perfect condition,, but also improve many of their performance whenever their customers want it. when carrying out the transformation or modification of a BMW..
The BMW R100 Bobber “OLIVE” is a bobber scrambler motorcycle, as it combines components from both styles of custom bikes. Continental TKC80 scrambler tires or the bobber hanging seat mount to accommodate a Biltwell seat are proof of that.

This is the new Harley Davidson Fatboy Airwhite that has been transformed in the motorcycle customization workshop in Spain that Lord Drake Kustoms has located in Malaga.
Based on a 2011 Harley Fatboy
Fran Manen (owner of LDK), received an order from a client who already had this Harley Fat Boy of the Year 2011 and that he wanted to give it a touch of exclusive motorcycleand transformed but with a very important premise… it had to keep the two seats and be as comfortable as possible for the passenger.
OTHER MODIFICATIONS
At the front we opted for a handlebar apehanger for Harley Davidson of just over 1 inch in diameter, the entire front suspension was modified and improved and a new smaller metal front fender was made.

This BMW R100 Bobber “BLUE” has been a motorcycle transformed in our custom motorcycle workshop and cafe racer in Spain. A custom BMW motorcycle by Lord Drake Kustoms for a very very special customer.
A 1993 BMW R100
The basis is a 1993 BMW R100 customized from start to finish by Fran Manén’s team (owner of LDK), which has become one of the best BMW transformation companies in the world.
The BMW R100 and R80transformations are very much in vogue when it comes to turning these classic boxers into cafe racer, bobber or scrambler bikes.
The hanging seat bracket, two fenders and license plate bracket are handcrafted on this bobber scrambler. The entire subframe has been removed and some elements of the chassis have been modified.

Its owner Fran Manen (also owner of Lord Drake Kustoms in Miami and Spain) found this jewel on two wheels… A 2007 Softail Springer Classic (the last year that Harley Davidson marketed this mythical model of the custom motorcycle brand par excellence)
The original “Olive Green” color is so exclusive and the model so mythical that Fran Manen decided to respect the original paint and only polished it to give it a new life and of course not to make a radical Harley transformation, but rather a restyling or beautify it.
The entire collection of accessories and parts of the Battistini USA brand in chrome that could be installed has been used in this Springer Custom: Platforms, Advanced Controls, Grips, Horn Covers, Air Filter, etc…
Chrome details
On the wheels the first thing was to install a fat spoke rim with a 21″ inch front and Avon whitewall tires to give a touch to this Harley Davidson Springer Olivegangster or low rider; along with a softailrear lowering kit to lower the rear end by a few centimeters.
Tires and exhaust detail
A Hollywood style handlebar or beach bar with chrome wiring and spectacular Bassani exhaust pipes are other details to highlight in this beautiful customization made on a Harley with history.
For the rest small details and above all a lot of simplicity in the work done; and above all making it clear that sometimes when it comes to customizing a Harley, it is better less … than more; and proof of this is the result of this Harley Davidson Softail customized by Lord Drake Kustoms in Miami and called “Springer Olive”.

This is not the first motorcycle that Francisco made for a charitable cause, but it is the first one he makes in his native land, Malaga … The previous ones have been made in Miami where he has his headquarters and where he has customized and donated motorcycles for the Antonio Banderas charity gala in Miami where they raise funds for the children’s hospital“Nicklaus Children’s Hospital” and the “Fundación Lágrimas y Favores” … or also for the Festivals Of Speed event where they raise funds to help children’s hospitals such as the “Arnold Palmer Hospital ”(Orlando).
For some time this DUCATI 848 BLACK BEAUTY is the other passion of Paco Ventura guitarist of the rock band Medina Azahara, that after the restyling that we have done in Lord Drake Kustoms has been beautiful and brutal.
A MOTORCYCLE FOR MEDINA AZAHARA
Paco Ventura (guitarist and composer) besides being passionate about the guitar, has another great passion and are custom motorcycles, exclusive or simply original; so when he is not touring with his band (the legendary Andalusian rock band Medina Azahara) usually enjoys riding one of his bikes among which were a white Ducati 848.
The story is somewhat curious because Paco Ventura knows Lord Drake Kustoms through the networks and begins to follow us because he becomes an admirer of our work with cafe racer motorcycles, scramber, bobber, etc.; But what the famous guitarist did not know is that Francisco Ali Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) is an unconditional fan of Medina Azahara and especially of the guitarist from Cordoba for decades.
The rest you can imagine… One day Paco Ventura makes some comments on some posts in our networks, Fran Manen answers him and invites him to know our motorcycle workshop in Malaga and the thing continues to evolve until one day he contacts us privately to tell us that he would like to give a new look to his road bike.
Fran Manen is amazed to have the opportunity to work on or customizethe bike of one of his main rock idols for years. They meet in Cordoba, he picks up his bike and the rest is a beautiful story that has resulted in the restyling of a Ducati 848 which we have named “Black Beauty” (Paco Ventura’s idea).
The idea was to keep the Racing aesthetics of the bike but to embellish it especially with a paint and upholstery work. So we proceeded to completely disassemble the bike piece by piece to be restored, treated or painted after being mechanically tuned or replaced.
Matte black, gray and candy red
Upholstered with red thread stitching
From the chassis to the engine, rims and of course all the fairings… Matte black with matte graphite gray, candy red details, front suspension bottles anodized in red, etc, etc… and seats upholstered in micro perforated leather with red thread stitching.
As we always say in Lord Drake Kustoms… “Less is More” and sometimes to give a new life to a custom bike you just need to change the dress and give it a new color, as is the case of this DUCATI 848 BLACK BEAUTY, which now rolls on the roads of Cordoba from the hands of a master of the six strings, an artist with capital letters and the composer of a whole soundtrack that has accompanied many of us for decades in our lives… the great Paco Ventura.
This is the BMW R100 Bobber Scrambler “PISTACHIO” customized in Lord Drake Kustomscafe racer workshop in Spain, transformed in Malaga, for a client who was looking for a very attractive and cheerful color.
A CLASSIC BMW CAFE RACER
This completely modified BMW R100 is another example of the work that Fran Manen and his brand LDKis currently doing in the BMW transformation sector and that is leading them to become a benchmark when it comes to transforming a BMW R motorcycle into a cafe racer, bobber or scrambler.
Lord Drake Kustoms not only has a cafe racer workshop in Spain for motorcycle customization, but also has a team of highly qualified specialized BMW R series mechanics, and K series. This allows them, in addition to creating beautiful customized BMWs , to leave them behind as new mechanically and even improve many of its features at the request of the customer who is looking for a classic BMW cafe racer but that is totally reliable despite its almost 40 years old.
On this BMW R100 bobber scrambler motorcycle, the Biltwell bobber hanging seat bracket, the two fenders and the license plate bracket have been handcrafted. The entire subframe has been removed and some elements of the chassis have been modified for the installation of new YSS top line shock absorbers for BMW R.

In addition, the front suspension has been lowered, a Biltwell tracker handlebar has been installed accompanied by Motgadget M-Blaze indicators on the grips, an LED headlight for BMW cafe racer, a Motogadget Tiny odometer and other small details such as the rubber bellows have completed the front end of this bobber scrambler styled BMW R100 customized from start to finish.

“MARTINI” is the name of this customized Sportster Scrambler in our Harley Davidson workshop in Malaga and it is the first unit of a limited series of the well-known SOULBREAKER models from Lord Drake Kustoms.
This scrambler motorcycle is not just any custom Harley Davidson, it is a completely transformed 883 Sportster that has resulted in a spectacular looking Harley scrambler.
Although we are not an official Harley Davidson dealer, at LDK we are lovers of the brand and they are Fran Manen’s favorite custom motorcycles (especially Sportster models) when it comes to making a transformation, especially when it comes to making a cafe racer motorcycle or scrambler.
This Harley transformed, we started it in our motorcycle modification workshop, installing a biltwell bmx type handlebar and we have continued, modifying all the front suspension that has been adjusted in measurements and preload and the appearance has been improved with some Lowbrow Customsfork shrouds.
In the rear suspension we have chosen to replace the original Harley Davidson shock absorbers with new ones scrambler shocks with air bottle. Subsequently we have cut the entire subframe, made the scrambler fendersin metal; We have kept the Sportster Penaut gas tank and made a custom scrambler seat.
To give it the finishing touch of the scrambler motorcycle we have installed BIG SPOKE wheels for Harley Davidson andContinental TKC 80 tires, which together with the handcrafted side number plates, the Vance and Hines Tracker 2:1 exhaust pipe and the Roland Sands Design air filter have created the brutal look of this Soulbreaker “Martini”
The name MARTINI, obviously comes from the theme of the paint, which is inspired by the graphics of the rally cars that carried the famous Italian brand of vermouth. This motorcycle paint job has been accompanied by black pieces painted with electrostatic powder paint and some details in red.
