After the first two motorcycles transformed for the Harley Davidson Siebla dealer in Malaga (a Sportster Scramblerand a Sportster Cafe Racer), the official Harley dealer asked Lord Drake Kustoms for a third custom Harley. This time to compete in the “Battle of the Kings Harley Davidson 2015”.
On this occasion, the owner of Siebla Málaga, told Fran Manen, that they wanted to transform a Harley for the “Battle of the Kings” contest and that the base of the bike would be a Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Iron of 2015.
The idea was to customize this motorcycle without hardly using accessories from other brands (the vast majority had to be original Harley Davidson accessories) and the work had to be also within an economic limit; rules that apparently did not respect much of the participants of this contest.
Fran Manen picked up the Sportster Iron at the Harley Davidson dealerfrom Malaga and transferred it to his motorcycle and transformation workshop. Once there, he decided to take it apart and think about how he would transform that Harley… He finally decided to make a Sportster Cafe Racer.
Modifications for this Sportster Cafe Racer
Clubman handlebar, Cafe Racer type rear seat made of fiber, and above all an elegant and detailed airbrushing and painting job on motorcycles like this one; They made the modification of this Harley Sportster end up resulting in an authentic Sportster Cafe Racer.
It is worth highlighting the work powder paint done by Metal Colors in quantity of black and gold details, in parts such as the rims, Screaming Eagle air filter, Harley Davidson grips, etc.
Once finished, this motorcycle transformed with style Cafe Racer without losing its essence Sportster, was exhibited at the Harley Davidson Siebla store on Avenue Dr. Gálvez Ginachero, 9 in Malaga.

This Virago Ave Fenix has undergone a radicalcustomization to become a beautiful bobber bike that has risen from the ashes in the cafe racer workshop of Lord Drake Kustoms in Spain.
THE RESURGENCE OF A YAMAHA VIRAGO
After many years standing still, this custom motorcycle, very little seen in Spain, is known as the Yamaha Virago XV 1100; it came into the hands of Francisco Alí Manén (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms)
In his motorcycle transformation workshop in Malaga, what would be the resurgence of this Yamaha Virago Bobber began to take shape, which has been baptized with the name “Ave Fenix”.
CUSTOMIZATIONS
Once completely disassembled, all its components were restored and, of course, the chassis was modified to house a new, more bobber style of motorcycle. Custom made fenders as well as seat and license plate bracket.
New dragbar handlebar with straight turrets, led indicators, motogadget mini odometer, headlight, shock absorbers, chrome exhaust tail, etc, etc; have completed the modification and transformation of a Yamaha Virago Bobbersuch as this new custom bike.
The seat is upholstered in distressed brown natural leather and finished with diamond or diamond stitching.
PAINTING AND AIRBRUSHING
Finally, the entire bike has been painted in matte black except for the gas tank, which has been painted in pearl white with the logos representing the Ave Fenix airbrushed on its sides.
This Harley Davidson Sportster Cafe Racer is a motorcycle transformed into the custom motorcycle workshop in Malaga by Lord Drake Kustoms and was commissioned by the owner of the Spanish clothing brand “My Toro”.
“My Toro”, is a clothing company from Malaga, created in 2013 that in a record time begins to make its strong way in this sector. Part of that success is because everything is 100% Spanish.
The idea of the co-owner of the brand was to entrust Fran Manen a LDK motorcycle for the promotion of the new and successful clothing brand; a custom motorcycle “MyToro“.
After knowing the idea of Fran Manen, about a limited series of Cafe Racer motorcycles and seeing the transformed Sportster “Racing is Life”, which was already sold, the owner decided to start by becoming a personal motorcycle and that was number two of the series.
For the painting and airbrushing of this motorcycle, the colors of a well-known brand of tobacco (white, red and gold) were chosen. The name chosen by the owner for this Sportster Cafe Racer “For Brave People” is the slogan of the My Toro brand.
In this case, the client did not want many changes with respect to the first of the series (the Gulf), except in the colors and details as in the rear pilots or the anti-heat tape in the leaks.
According to the owner of LDK, Fran Manen, in the third unit of the series there will be many changes and colors very, very well known … but that’s another story!

Because of the sales success that the Scrambler Sportster of Lord Drake Kustoms, it was time to make a new unit. This time, Fran Manen, owner of LDK, wanted to do something more risky with colors and combining elements and designs from his previous lines of Scrambler motorcycles.
The result was this Harley Davidson Sportster Scrambler, which remembers for its color the graphics and colors of the brand Castrol oil: Dark pearl green, silver and details in red. To give it a more classic touch, Fran Manen opted to put the fenders in chrome.
How this Sportster Scrambler was transformed
The fuel tank peanut-type was combined used in the line of transformed Sportracker motorcycles with the 21 “inch spoke front wheel to give it a moto cross classic look.
The engine is a SportsterInjection 883 with transmission converted to chain with a longer and sportier development.
Tired of looking for numbers with any meaning for motorcycles, the owner of LDK had it easy this time: number 75, his year of birth: “so many years making motorcycles and looking for numbers for them and I never did one with a number that had relationship with me, now is time”.
