If a vampire became a motorcycle, it would almost certainly be in the BAT NIGHTROD; a Harley Davidson Night Rod customized by Lord Drake Kustoms in his Harley workshop in Miami.
In motorcycle companies dedicated to the custom bikes sector, it’s very normal to almost always work with the same line and style of custom motorcycles. In Lord Drake Kustoms, as seen once again, it’s not so. From a Bagger to a Cafe Racer or Scrambler motorcycle, from a Harley Vrod to a classic Japanese motorcycle… anything with two wheels is KUSTOMIZABLE!
An old Harley Night Rod in disrepair
This time, the chosen one was a Harley Davidson Vrod Nightrod of the year 2005 who was in a bad state. Its owner (a prestigious child surgeon, resident in Miami) wanted to return his Vrod to a more decent state and loved the color black … then the idea of “BAT” emerged: simple, elegant and striking.
At the same time the owner wanted to keep the essence of the machine, the bike had to look like a Vrod, but to another level! For Fran Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms in Miami) was already clear and it was time to start working.
The process of customizing this Harley Night Rod
LDK, modified the original front fender and built a new cover for the air filter to embed the clocks. Also, he installed an original 240-wheel rear wheel kit and replaced the turrets to give a more comfortable ride. Finally, this two-wheeled vampire emerged … “BAT Nigthrod“
If you like custom motorcycles or motorcycle transformation, we are now in luck in Spain; Well, the North American company LDK (and its Spanish owner Fran Manen) have just opened a new custom workshop and Harley Davidson in southern Spain. From this new headquarters in Malaga, service will be given motorcycle customization throughout Europe.

In the purest style, without this Yamaha Cafe Racer losing the classic touch and doing something different at the same time. Especially elegant, very elegant … a custom motorcycle to admire.
For this, he has chosen a very special motorcycle like the Yamaha XS650. But, in addition, to give it more exclusivity, he chose the Triple USA Custom model. It is one of the limited three-cylinder models of these XS that was only marketed in the USA; and where this unit came from.
The transformation process of this Yamaha Cafe Racer “Cream”
The Cafe Racer style rear tail is made of metal and hand-made in the image and likeness of the fuel tank. The rear turn signals have been embedded in the bars of the chassis, which was cut and the front suspension was shortened to give the general line to this motorcycle.
Firestone Deluxe Champion tires were usedto give it a more retro look. For the painting and airbrushing of this motorcycle, cream color for the base has been chosen (hence its name “CREAM”) that has been applied with powder coating on the chassis and other elements of the motorcycle by the company Metal Colors.
The base color has been combined with other elements painted in copper candy and also by applying powder coating on elements such as tires, controls, engine covers, etc.
The result was this beautiful Yamaha Cafe Racer that has led to the LordDrake Kustoms workshop, make changes to their concept to adapt to the market of custom motorcycles in Spain. A challenge for the inauguration of its second Cafe Racer workshop in Spanish lands, since in Miami where it has its headquarters, the style and market is totally different.

After the success of the first Harley transformed for the Harley Davidson Dealer in Malaga (a Sportster Scrambler), the second custom motorcycle was about to arrive to complete the initial order.
The second unit was a cafe racer bike, built on a 2005 carbureted Sportster 883 base and delivered to the Harley dealerjust two days after the “BULTRACKER 04”.

This Sportster cafer racer was also the second unit of this model, which Lord Drake Kustoms made. Anecdotally, the first unit of this model was also acquired by another Harley Davidson dealer but this time in Brussels (Belgium), specifically “Capital Brussels”.
Specifically, this transformed Harley Davidson was a cafe racer motorcycle without more, finished in an elegant black color that combined gloss black with pearl black and with gold details and pinstriping; it was called Stormracer.
As we indicated at the beginning, this custom Harley was delivered and exhibited at the Harley Davidson store in Malaga, just two days after the first unit; And like its predecessor, it caused a sensation to the point that it also sold out in less than 48 hours.
With this second bike, the first collaboration agreement between Grupo Siebla (owner of Harley Davidson Málaga) and Lord Drake Kustoms was completed with great success.

Motorcycle transformations in Malaga and the rest of Spain were increasingly in demand and the legendary Harley Davidson brand was not going to be left behind; at least in Malaga, where its official dealer opted to ally itself with one of the world leaders in customizing Harley Davidson….
It was the beginning of a great relationship between two great brands who share a passion: the world of custom motorcycles and the brand that drove it… Harley Davidson.
Lord Drake Kustoms will be present at the EUROPEAN H.O.G. RALLY 2017, that will be in Lugano (SWITZERLAND) from June 29 to July 2.
In addition, LDK will compete in the 2017 European Bike Show (to be held in the event, Friday June 30) for the title of the best modified Harley of Europe (Big Twin category) with “ENVY” and probably will compete with another second motorcycle in the Sportster category.
Remember that in the edition celebrated in 2015, LDK raised two titles in the same bike show: European Champion and Sub-champion in the Sportster category respectively.
As you will see in the photos, this is what is left of the new BMW R1100S we are customizing: the engine!
That engine is waiting impatiently to mount the rest of the body and very soon, another beast of two wheels will be able to see the light of the hand of Lord Drake Kustoms. We will combine elements of cafe racer with scrambler to result in an urban tracker that will not go unnoticed.
The previous BMW was “MARDANIS”, this will be? … a Beast!
Two weeks ago (19, 20 and 21 of May) , the first edition of GRAUM FEST GRANADA was held .
From Lord Drake Kustoms we would like to congratulate the entire organization for the excellent work done.
