A cello for Adrián Martín

A cello for Adrián Martín

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The owner of Lord Drake Kustoms, Fran Manén, has visited his friend Adrián Martín Vega, to bring him a very special and sound gift.

A few months ago Adrián Martin was at Lord Drake Kustoms facilities and due to his passion for music, one of the things that attracted him most (apart from taking a walk in Harley with Francisco) was a double bass that Fran Manen has in his office and his brother gave him a few years ago.

Fran’s brother (Antonio Manén) is the owner of one of the world’s largest companies dedicated exclusively to the world of double bass and cello: www.seccioncontrabajo.com; He is also the owner of the string instrument rental company www.alquilatuviolin.com

Fran talked to his brother and they both decided to give Adrián this beautiful Cello, so he can enjoy his sound and continue exploring and delighting us all with his gift for music.

You can see this post that Adrian Martin public in his instagram in the following link:

The Harley “AGATHIZADA” by Lord Drake Kustoms

The Harley “AGATHIZADA” by Lord Drake Kustoms

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Last June, Fran Manen, owner of Lord Drake Kustoms, coincided with Agatha Ruiz de la Prada at a charity gala in Miami. A common friend was in charge of getting to know each other and, after a while of talk, the owner of Lord Drake Kustoms comments that he would love to make a custom motorcycle in the style of Agatha. Some of those present in the conversation quickly point out that it would be a great idea to make a motorcycle “Agathizadaand give color to the streets in the style of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15146″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]When he returns from Miami, Fran visits Agatha Ruiz’s studio in Madrid and meets with his team to explain the project from where he goes from a spontaneous idea to a “go ahead with the project”. Fran indicated that this first motorcycle was going to be a Harley Davidson Sportster, being thus not only the first motorcycle of this style, but also the first Harley “AGATHIZADA”.

Agatha’s team told Fran the main points to consider when “agathizing” something. One of the points that stood out, is that Agatha does not use the color black… Fran promised to make a motorcycle practically without black color (except for the tires or the occasional detail that was impossible to change color).

The result was this Sportster 1200, which has been transformed into the Harley and custom workshop of Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga and which has become the first Agatha Ruiz de la Prada motorcycle. With more than 300 hearts, with virtually no black color (except tires), all the wiring, parts of the motorcycle and engine components have passed to the colorful world of Agatha, parts such as the rear fender, filter have been specially manufactured for the motorcycle air, handlebar, front tire, etc, etc.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15493″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]During the manufacture of the motorcycle, the Agatha team and Fran Manen thought it would be a good idea to present the Harley “AGATHIZADA” at the XXVI Charity Dinner Gala of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Marbella; since this gala, both were going to attend and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada was also going to be in charge of decorating the event; so that the motorcycle would give even more color to the gala.

In the charity gala presented by Ana Obregón and Boris Izaguirre; and that brings together a total of 550 attendees, is officially presented and is released for the first time to Harley “Agathizada”… that until then no one had seen. It has been exhibited in a Photocall specially designed so that all those attending the event could take a picture with this colorful and fun Harley that has broken all the patterns and customization concepts known to date (especially in the world of Harley motorcycles) .[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”15485,15501,15499,15497,15495,15491,15489″ img_size=”medium” onclick=”img_link_large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On behalf of the entire team of Lord Drake Kustoms and of course its owner Fran Manen; We want to thank Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and her entire team; He has been and is a pleasure to work with. And of course also tell them that it has been an honor and a pride to be able to make a motorcycle nothing more and nothing less than “AGATHIZED” to give a touch of color to the streets of our cities.

Also Many thanks to Álvaro Manén for the excellent photo report, of which we already give you some shots and that in a few days you will be able to know in full.

Charity Gala of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) Marbella 2019

Lord Drake Kustoms and its owner Fran Manen will be present in a very special way at the XXVI Charity Dinner Gala of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) to be held next Sunday, August 4, 2019 in Marbella; specifically in the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.

This gala will be presented by Ana Obregón and Boris Izaguirre; and will gather a total of 550 attendees whose objective is to raise financial funds to help family members and cancer patients in the region.

The president of the AECC Maika Pérez de Cobas, has described the gala as “unique”, and with “many surprises”.

For his part Francisco Ali Manen, will be some of the attendees at this gala, in which he will present an exclusive Harley Davidson customized by Lord Drake Kustoms in a very very special way and as a result of a collaboration that emerged in Miami a few months ago.

Francisco Ali himself does not count that: ”Of all the work we have done to date; This is going to be the motorcycle that gives more talk. A customized Harley, which breaks with all the patterns of the world of customization, a motorcycle with a heart (more than 300) and very colorful, made with the aim of giving a lot of color to the streets and especially to this gala in which it will release for the first time ”

BMW R100 Scrambler

BMW R100 Scrambler

Here we present the new BMW R100 Scrambler, newly customized by Lord Drake Kustoms from Fran Manen.

The bike is a very used model lately in this type of customizations and despite the years of this type of BMW motorcycles, the classic R, continue to show that they have not lost their charm, provided that a job is done with pleasure.

The transformation of this bike has been made in our motorcycle transformation workshop in Malaga. The client was looking for something elegant and basically in black tones; and in this case I did not want to make the typical cafe racer, but rather something more like scrambler or brat … and this has been the result.

The full report of photos has been made by the photographer Álvaro Manén. We hope you like it.

Rusty Rush

Rusty Rush

“Rusty Rush” is a Harley Bobber motorcycle based on a Sportster 883 low and with Old Style touches. This is the bike that Fran Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) customized and donated for the Charity Gala at the Miami Fashion Week 2019.

This gala is organized and chaired each year by Antonio Banderas to raise funds for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami and the Fundación Lágrimas y Favores (Tears and Favors Foundation) of Malaga (Spain).

Rusty Rush

A custom Harley Bobber in 72 hours

LDK owner Fran Manen was in his motorcycle workshop in Miami (FL) on Monday morning, when he received a call from Boris, his friend and organizer of the Miami Fashion Week 2019

In that call, he told him that he was invited to attend the charity gala of the famous actor Antonio Banderas to be held in Miami Beach that Friday.

Boris, also a friend of Antonio Banderas, and as an organizer of the event that would bring together great personalities, told Fran that he would like him to attend the gala dinner.

That was an opportunity he could not miss, since Lord Drake Kustoms has a lot of prestige in the city of Miami. This is due to the level of their motorcycle customization work and the level of customers for whom they manufacture custom motorcycles.

“Nothing is impossible, let me try and if I can’t, I’ll donate only the Classic Harley of my collection …”

Fran Manen

Fran, delighted with the idea, replied that it would be a pleasure to attend the event but didn’t want to go empty-handed. It occurred to him that he could donate something for the auction. He immediately thought of a Harley Davidson FLH from the 82 he had in his Miami collection.

But Fran, he kept thinking and decided that if he had been invited for being one of the most prestigious motorcycle customizers in Miami, what he had to do was donate a customized, unique and exclusive motorcycle made for that occasion. So he called his friend Boris and said, “I thought maybe I can make one to donate.”

Boris replied: “It would be great, but today is Monday and the gala is this Friday, it’s impossible, leave it … better on another occasion with more time.”

Fran replied: “Nothing is impossible, let me try and if I can’t, I’ll donate only the Classic Harley of my collection… I am in Miami, it’s an honor for me to be taken into account for an event of this level and I want to be at the height. In addition, like Antonio Banderas, I am from Malaga and part of the collection is to help a Malaga foundation. So I immediately get to work. ”

The process of creating the “Rusty Rush” Bobber Motorcycle

The rest was very simple, Fran took a custom Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 from the year 2009 that he had in his facilities and immediately disassembled it. “As I disassembled it, I was mentally shaping what the end result would be. “

“… three days practically without sleep and fed with chocolates and cans of Coca-Cola.”

Fran Manen

That result would be more attractive if it was a Harley Bobber or Custom, since in Miami the Cafe Racer or Scrambler-style motorcycles do not yet have enough popularity they have in other places; as it happens in Spain or rest of Europe.

So he designed a simple Bobber and above all that could be done quickly. The rest was crazy; three days practically without sleep and fed with chocolates and cans of Coca-Cola.

Fran Manen with his Harley Bobber “Rusty Rush” finished just in time.

All the work was done by Fran Manen and his team at the Harley workshop and custom motorcycles that Lord Drake Kustoms has in northern Miami, specifically in the Hollywood (Florida) area.

A Bobber motorcycle that got a lot of praise and new projects.

The motorcycle arrived in time to appear at the gala to be auctioned, where it caused admiration. Fran received the praise and admiration of the gala attendees to learn the story of how this motorcycle was made in just three days.

Personalities such as Antonio Banderas, Emilio Estefan, Nicole Kimpel, Juanes or Agatha Ruiz de la Prada attended this gala, to name a few.

At the same gala, Fran received another commission from one of the guests to ask him to make a motorcycle similar to the auctioned. When asked if they could send it to London from Miami, Fran closed the deal

He told this new client that there would be no problem putting it at the door of his house in London, since Lord Drake Kustoms also has a Harley workshop in Malaga. From there they transform the bikes that are then sent free with their own transport to almost all parts of Europe.

Francisca Lachapel, host of the ¡Despierta América! an Univision program, also aroused admiration for two bikes of Fran Manen during the Miami Fashion Week event.
