FATBOY 15TH ANNIVERSARY

At Lord Drake Kustoms, we have transformed an iconic 2005 Harley Davidson Fatboy 15th Anniversary, giving it a new style that combines elegance and power. This model, a symbol of tradition and character, has received a complete restyling in our workshop specialising in customising motorbikes.

The legacy of the original model

The Harley Davidson Fatboy has always been a benchmark in the custom motorbike world. Its rugged design and exceptional performance have made it a classic since its launch. The 2005 15th Anniversary Edition celebrated this history with unique details that made it even more special. With this in mind, Fran Manen’s aim was to respect its essence, but adapt it to the style and demands of today’s custom enthusiasts.

Modifications

The project had a clear starting point: to fit a 240mm rear wheel, perfect for Harley Softail models, accompanied by a spectacular thick-spoke custom rim. From there, we added a number of upgrades that elevate the personality and functionality of this bike:

  • Stylised rear mudguard, designed to harmonise with the new wheel.
  • Matching front rim, achieving an impeccable visual balance.
  • New seat, more comfortable and adapted to the style of this customisation.
  • Upgraded number plate bracket and indicators for a modern, clean look.
  • Legend air suspension, offering a smooth and personalised driving experience.

BLACK & GOLD

The paintwork on this 15th Anniversary Fatboy is a key element in its transformation. Every line and detail has been carefully crafted to enhance the classic shape of this model, adding a contemporary edge that sets it apart. The finishes, in premium quality black with gold accents and bright chrome, reflect our dedication to delivering bikes that are not only powerful, but also visually stunning.

A Tribute to the Fatboy 15th Anniversary

With this restyling, we wanted to pay homage to the legacy of the Fatboy 15th Anniversary, modernising its design without losing the essence that makes it unique. At Lord Drake Kustoms, every project is an opportunity to take Harley Davidson motorbikes to the next level, and this one is no exception. If you are looking for a transformation that combines tradition and modernity, this Fatboy is the perfect example of what we can achieve.

BMW R65 BOBBER SCRAMBLER

BMW R65 BOBBER SCRAMBLER

BMW R65 BOBBER SCRAMBLER

For this new BMW R65 BOBBER SCRAMBLER, customized in the workshop of transformations of BMW motorcycles in Spain of Lord Drake Kustoms, we have used as a base a model of the German brand of less displacement as is the R65.

FROM CAFE RACER TO BOBBER SCRAMBLER

The first idea for this BMW R65 was to make just a very simple cafe racer transformation, but little by little the owner of this custom bike was changing his idea until finally deciding to make a whole BMW Bobber Scrambler, without contemplation.

After a multitude of ideas and conversions between the owner of the bike and Francisco Ali Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms), it was clearly decided that every last detail of this custom bike was tastefully and elegantly customized.

MODIFICATIONS

Almost when the project was halfway through it was decided to change the original fuel tank of the R65 for one of R100 as the change was becoming more and more spectacular but the original tank of this bike did not quite fit with the rest of the bobber scrambler transformations that were being made.

The bobber hanging seat for BMW upholstered in black with rhombus patterns accompanies other elements such as a low tracker handlebar, a motogadget mini odometer, LED turn signals, license plate holder for BMW R, auxiliary headlight or custom-made mudguards.

MATTE BLACK

For this BMW R65 BOBBER SCRAMBLER we have chosen an elegant gloss black color with double white line on the tank and silver fenders. Many of the parts such as the chassis, swingarm, engine covers, rims, front suspension have been painted in matte black using powdercoating at Metalcolors.

HOMOLOGATION

Finally our homologations department at Lord Drake Kustoms has been in charge of homologating the modifications made on a converted motorcycle for Spanish territory as this BMW R65 BOBBER SCRAMBLER.

SPORTSTER 48 BOBBER WHITE

SPORTSTER 48 BOBBER WHITE

SPORTSTER 48 BOBBER WHITE

Today we talk about a custom Harley Sportster, which has been called ‘Sportster Bobber White’ because of its petrol tank and which is a work that has been done in the workshop of Harley Davidson transformations in Spain that Lord Drake Kustoms has in Malaga.

A ‘FORTY-EIGHT’ BASE

The basis for this project was an early Harley Davidson Sportster Forty Eight that came with spoked rims and to which we have fitted the latest generation of XL 1200 Forty Eight models with the most up to date aluminium rims.

Fran Manen (owner of LDK) and all his team at Lord Drake Kustoms; have turned this Harley 48 into a spectacular and above all elegant bobber bike.

MODIFICATIONS

As usual on these custom bikes, the subframe has been trimmed to make it single seater, a single seat fixed to the chassis, 10.5 inch burly shocks,, Harley side arm number plate holder handmade by Lord Drake Kustoms, as well as the rear mudguard.

This ‘SPORTSTER BOBBER WHITE’ has also been fitted with a drag bar with Motogadget Mini odometer integrated in the turrets and LED indicators under the button panels, Biltwell grips, spoiler, etc.

The front mudguard has also been trimmed and a Rough Craft Sportster air filter has been fitted, along with Santee exhausts with anti-heat tape.

BLACK AND WHITE

And as for the painting and finishing of this custom bike… it has been all very simple: As if it were a dinner jacket … All black except the shirt of the suit that has been painted in gloss white (in this case the fuel tank) and that gives the name to this “SPORTSTER BOBBER WHITE” and a small detail of colour with red spark plug keys.

HOMOLOGATION

Finally, all the modifications that can be homologated on this bobber bike have been homologated by Lord Drake Kustoms for the Spain territory and their custom bike modifications and homologations department.

BMW R100 DARK BOBBER

We present you another BMW R100 called ‘DARK BOBBER’, a customised bike with bobber scrambler style that has been transformed at Lord Drake Kustoms’ BMW bike customisation workshop in Malaga (Spain).

BOTH BOBBER AND SCRAMBLER

The team of Lord Drake Kustoms and its owner Francisco Alí Manén, once again leave a proof with this custom bike, that they can also customize bobber and/or scrambler style bikes on the basis of classic BMW bikes like R100, R90, R80, R65, etc.

This BMW R100 was commissioned by Fran Manen, owner of LDK, for a customer for whom he had previously customised a Triumph brat/scrambler in Ibiza.

MODIFICATIONS

All in matt black was one of the requirements, hence the name BMW R100 ‘DARK BOBBER’. In addition, details such as the Motogadget odometer together with the blaze LED indicators of the same brand located at the ends of the handlebars, accompanied by Biltwell grips, minimalist button panels and new hand controls such as the handlebar bracket and front brake pump for BMW R.

Other details of this BMW bobber are the mudguards and number plate bracket all made by Lord Drake Kustoms, the Biltwell single seat and finally the scrambler touch is provided by the Continetal TKC 80 tyres.

Shorter-than-usual exhaust tailpipes and K&N conical air filters improve the performance of this German-based bobber’s boxer engine.

HOMOLOGATION

Finally this BMW R100 ‘DARK BOBBER’ (before being sent to its owner in Ibiza) has been homologated thanks to Lord Drake Kustoms legalisation department in Spain for the legalisation of modifications carried out on a converted motorbike.

SPORTSTER GRAYRACER

This is a new cafe racer motorcycle called SPORTSTER GRAYRACER and customized in the specialized Harley Davidson workshop in Malaga (Spain) of Lord Drake Kustoms.

BASED ON AN IRON 883 SPORTSTER

The base transformed motorcycle has been a Sportster Iron 883. As for the style of customization of a bike like this, basically we can say that it is a cafe racer motorcycle modified on a Harley Sportster.

A CAFE RACER FULL OF DETAILS

In this SPORTSTER GRAYRACER, we can highlight the tail made of metal, the fuel tank that has been replaced, the keel or spoiler for Sportster or the front fender.

SPORTSTER BOBBER GREEN 69

SPORTSTER BOBBER GREEN 69

SPORTSTER BOBBER green 69

The Sportster Bobber “GREEN 69” is a Harley Davidson turned into a bobber-style bike in Spain by Lord Drake Kustoms and has a slightly green and sexy name.

A Sportster 1200 already customized

Fran Manen (owner of LDK) received this Sportster 1200 previously customized in a very precarious and handmade way from a Madrid client. Its owner wanted to keep the original rims and engine chrome and also wanted the bike to be green. The rest was basically left to Lord Drake Kustoms.

OTHER MODIFICATIONS

This Sportster previously modified was in quite a sorry state, so the first thing was to update it in the specialized Harley Davidson workshop that we have in Spain and later we began with the customization work and transformation of the bobber style into a custom motorcycle that soon I was going to have a new life.

BMW R BABYBLUE

BMW R BABYBLUE

BMW R BABYBLUE

BMW “BABYBLUE” is the name we have given to this mix of BMW cafe racer and scrambler customized in Lord Drake Kustomsmotorcycle transformation workshop in Spain (Málaga).

CAFE RACER OR SCRAMBLER?

The motorcycle transformed in this case has been a BMW R100 that mixes components from very different custom motorcycle styles, such as the cafe racer and the scrambler.

According to Fran Manen, owner of Lord Drake Kustoms in Spain and Miami (USA), he has details of a BMW cafe racer because of the type of seat and especially because of the handmade cafe racer tail for BMW R that we have manufactured in our facilities.

But nevertheless, the BMW “BABYBLUE” has details of a BMW scrambler motorcycle due to the Continental TKC 80 tires or the type and position of the Bitwell tracker handlebar.

OTHER MODIFICATIONS

At the front, all the controls and buttons of this customized motorcycle have been changed for new ones with a more modern style, a motogadget odometer, has been installed an auxiliary headlight for BMW R, some rubber bellows, the front suspension has been lowered and a new handmade front fender has been installed.

As always, the sidearm license plate holder for BMW R100 has been manufactured by Lord Drake Kustoms and just like the fender, the tail, the seat or even the cafe racer subframe.

POWDERCOATING

For this BMW “BABYBLUE” cafe racer scrambler, the paint has been in a matte finish and in a very very light blue tone that, depending on how the light hits it, is hardly appreciated, with two lines in graphite gray to decorate the fuel tank .

The rest of the bike has been painted in matt black with baked electrostatic powder paint that has been done in the Metal Colors company.

BMW R18 BOBBER BLACK

BMW R18 BOBBER BLACK

This new BMW R18 “BOBBER BLACK”, has been the transformation of a very special BMW motorcycle made in the Lord Drake Kustoms motorcycle customization workshops in Spain.

TRUE TO HIS STYLE

Fran Manen, owner of LDK, received this BMW R18 from its owner, to be a fully modified motorcycle. But with one condition; and it is that it had to maintain the original black color, with white lines and chrome components.

A BOBBER WITH A BOXER ENGINE

This converted BMW motorcycle, called “BMW R18 “BOBBER BLACK”, is quite a beast (aesthetically speaking) since, except for the original fuel tank, components from almost all areas of the motorcycle have been touched to convert it into a bobber with a boxer engine.

Gas tank detail

The rear, with a totally bobber motorcycle style, is made up of a fender attached to the wheel with metal tube side supports, a side arm license plate holder that places the plate just behind the wheel and minimalist 3-in-1 lights with turn signals Kellerman incorporated.
