The name of this Sportster Cafe Racer Customized by Lord Drake Kustoms in his Harley and custom workshop in Malaga (Spain), it is inspired by Steve Mcqueen’s film, “Le Mans”.

In addition, it refers to one of the great cars in the history of the competition. Specifically, the Porsche 917 “GULF” that Mcqueen with the number 20 he was driving in the aforementioned film. If you have seen it, surely you know the phrase: “Racing is life … anything that happens before or after is just waiting“

Fran Manen (owner of LDK) is passionate about Steve Mcqueen, the colors “GULF” and the Porsche. So it was clear when it came to creating what has been the first unit of a limited series of Cafe Racer motorcycles inspired by cars and mythical motorcycles in the world of competition.

Painting and airbrushing motorcycles Cafe Racer like this is sometimes difficult to choose. But this time it was simply because it had to be a GULF motorcycle, in this case, a Harley Davidson Sportster Gulf… neither more nor less.

Fat spokes tires manufactured for this Harley Sportster Cafe Racer, add a spectacular touch to all the work of transformation of this motorcycle, in one of the best Cafe Racer workshops in Spain.

“STORMRACER”

This HD Sportster Cafe Racer, has been one of the most successful motorcycles transformed by Lord Drake Kustoms, so we had to make two equal units: one for the dealer Harley Davidson Siebla Malaga and one for the dealership Harley-Davidson Capital Brussels.

The Stormracer is one of the first Cafe Racer motorcycles made by LDK, inspired by racing cars John Player Special. The first unit, once finalized at the Harley workshop in Malaga by Lord Drake Kustoms, went to Belgium, specifically to the dealer Harley-Davidson Capital Brussels who soon had been sold to a customer.

A short time later, when Fran Manen began transforming Harley motorcycles for the dealer Harley Siebla, he had to make a second unit, since the owner of the official dealer wanted another one to display and sell it at his Malaga Harley store.

The transformation of this Sportster Cafe Racer

Without any doubt, this Sportster Cafe Racer stands out for its elegance. The impressive paint and airbrushing job of this custom bike inspired by John Player Special colors has It been of a high level that has been able to combine different types of black to give it more detail to the work, without losing elegance.

A black gloss has been combined with black with gold pearl and all this darkness has been highlighted and detailed with pinstriping and logos of the fuel tank in gold. Another element to highlight in this Harley Davidson Sportster 883 custom is the modification made on a Sportster Custom fuel tank.

Harley sprung seat, permanently installed and springless, upholstered in black leather. Sportster R wheels, air filter and exhausts, handlebars, rear fenders, pilot and other elements make up this spectacular Harley Cafe Racer “Stormracer” .
