Triumph Bobber

Triumph Bobber

TRIUMPH BOBBER

This Triumph Bobber arrived at our Triumph motorcycle customization and transformation workshop in Spain, Lord Drake Kustoms, as a completely original model. The goal was to perform a restyling to enhance its aesthetics, and the result is this impressive customized Triumph Bobber that now has a unique and refined appearance.

The Elegance of the Triumph Bobber Model

For Francisco Alí Manen, founder of Lord Drake Kustoms, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber is one of the most elegant production motorcycles with the greatest potential for customization. Thanks to its base design, this bike easily lends itself to bobber modifications, achieving surprising results with few adjustments. In this case, we opted for a simple restyling, respecting the essence of this motorcycle which, for Fran Manen, comes almost ready from the factory.

Modifications on the Triumph Bobber

Upon receiving this Triumph Bobber, the first thing done was to stylize its fenders, modifying and trimming them to give it a more minimalist profile. We also removed the rear license plate and light system, replacing it with a handcrafted side arm with 3-in-1 LED lighting, made at Lord Drake Kustoms.

Subsequently, we installed new minimalist LED turn signals at the front and made custom metal covers for the fork tubes, thus completing its transformation.

OLIVE GREEN

To give it an unmistakable retro touch, this Triumph Bobber was painted in a bright olive green color. Additionally, Avon whitewall tires were installed, the exhaust headers were wrapped with heat-resistant tape, and the seat was upholstered with an elegant diamond finish. These details enhance its classic style and give it an unparalleled presence.

Liberator

Liberator

LIBERATOR

Manufactured at Lord Drake Kustoms’ Harley conversion workshop in Spain, “LIBERATOR” is the new work of motorbike customiser Francisco Ali Manen, and could very well be the custom bike that Captain America is currently riding in one of his films.

A Harley Davidson Softail Fat Boy with twin cam engine transformed as a tribute to the bike of the famous Marvel superhero, who appears with various models of bikes of the legendary American brand in some of his films.

Based on a 1942 WLA

But this new work by Fran Manen and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms Spain is inspired by the 1942 WLA model called LIBERATOR, used by the US Army during World War II and ridden by Captain America in the movie ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’.

According to Fran Manen (LDK) this could be a street version of the custom bike that the Marvel superhero used; but in his spare time, as it has nothing to do in terms of equipment with the original 1942 LIBERATOR which was loaded with details such as ammunition box, a leather holster for shotguns, siren, and a host of military support gadgets.

MODIFICATIONS

A brutal rear end with 240 wheel and custom rims, Legend air suspension for Harley Davidson softail models, a Supertrapp Paul Yaffe X exhaust system that perfectly reminds us of the barrels of a machine gun (although its sound is louder and deeper).

Dakota odometer

Medium handlebars, a large custom tank, custom front mudguards are another highlight, as well as the digital odometer Dakota for Harley or the Motogadget indicators on the grips that give a modern touch to this customised Harley called LIBERATOR.

GREEN AND GOLD

As for the finishes and to give it a more modern touch, the team of Lord Drake Kustoms, has opted for the elegant green tone ‘OAK metallic green’ of Porsche, instead of a matte military green as usual in this type of custom bikes and as details the star that represents the shield of Captain America in gold colour along with a nice seat made to measure and upholstered in brown along with the fuel tank tie and matching cuffs that give the most retro touch of this impressive Harley Davidson LIBERATOR.

YAMAHA VMAX NEORACER

YAMAHA VMAX NEORACER

YAMAHA VMAX NEORACER

This YAMAHA VMAX NEORACER is a new v4 beast created by Lord Drake Kustoms in his workshop of transformations of café racer motorcycles in Spain that has left everyone surprised, because it is a totally different work to what we usually do in our custom workshops.

With more than 30 years behind it, this fully customized Yamaha V Max 1200 has resurfaced with a new look thanks to the work of Fran Manen and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms with facilities in Malaga (Spain).

A BEAST V4

Despite being a historic bike, it has never ceased to be a V4 acceleration beast and when it came into the hands of the LDK team it presented a fairly acceptable mechanical condition, but its owner wanted to give it a new life, a more modern look and that’s where Fran Manen decided that in this project in addition to changing the aesthetic appearance, could improve some of the performance of the bike such as suspensions and brakes. At the time of making this bike transformed, the style was not very clear and as they say in Lord Drake Kustoms; it is neither a cafe racer bike or a sport bike, or a scrambler bike … is a Yamaha transformed Neoracer style as they usually define this type of customization of motorcycles that have a mixture of customization styles and a modern and more naked look.

MODIFICATIONS

The first thing that has been done with this custom Yamaha, which has been called “YAMAHA VMAX NEORACER” has been to disassemble it completely, then the first thing that was done was to install in the front a new inverted fork with two brake calipers and a new rim with improved brake disc, which has improved the braking of this beast without any doubt, not to mention the new aesthetics that has been achieved to the front of this custom bike.
Shock absorber detail

Next, a tracker type handlebar and an LED headlight, somewhat different from those usually seen on current modified motorcycles, were installed. As final details at the front, a metal face shield and a minimalist front fender were installed; both handcrafted by LDK.

Headlight detail

Lighthouse and mask

In the rear has been carried out a great job. It has been cut the entire subframe and has been handcrafted a spectacular tail with integrated seat that is also removable thanks to the original opening systems that has this bike to access the fuel tank.

Odometer detail

Motogadget odometer

Finally, new Ohlins shock absorbers, a handcrafted license plate holder made by LDK, LED turn signals, new modified exhaust tails and the Motogadget digital odometer are just some of the details.

MATT GRAPHITE GREY

As for the finishes, the bike had to be simple and not have a very flashy paint job, as it had to highlight the muscles and lines of this powerful Yamaha VMax Neoracer by itself. For that reason, the entire bike has been painted in matte graphite gray and black and the seat has been upholstered in imitation alcantara.

A HISTORIC MOTORCYCLE

The result speaks for itself … a historic bike, which has gone from being a V4 beast with an old and perhaps somewhat outdated look, to be a new YAMAHA VMAX NEORACER 1200 with the air of a naked bike, cafe racer and above all a beastly bike.

GEICO SCRAMBLER

GEICO SCRAMBLER

GEICO SCRAMBLER

GEICO SCRAMBLER: You either love it or hate it! But it won’t leave you indifferent; that’s the spectacular work of the Spanish customizer Fran Manen and his company Lord Drake Kustoms. The GEICO SCRAMBLER is the result of taking to the highest level the new line of scrambler motorcycles based on Harley Davidson Sportster for two people that the Spanish motorcycle builder Francisco Ali Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) has recently created and that are known as the “DRAKER 2”
This “DRAKER 2” is a scrambler motorcycle that, in addition to being able to be used to ride on dirt tracks and roads full of curves in the mountains; it could also be used on the highway, the streets of a big city… and why not? to ride along the beaches of California due to its casual, urban and fresh look.
The GEICO SCRAMBLER was built in Lord Drake Kustoms’ Harley and custom bike conversion workshop in Malaga (Spain) using a carbureted Harley Davidson Sportster 883.

BASED ON A HARLEY 883

Fran Manen received this order from Igor, a client from Holland who, after following LDK’s motorcycle customization work for a long time, finally decided to put himself in Fran’s hands to make his dream on two wheels come true. Igor, accompanied by his wife Dorina, visited Lord Drake Kustoms’ facilities in Malaga and after the first visit everything became very clear and the project began to flow. Igor was in no hurry, as his priority in this project was to have one of the best Harley Scramblers for two people that Fran Manen could design following a series of instructions; and the result has been this DRAKER 2 called “GEICO SCRAMBLER” … and it goes without saying that it speaks for itself.

Throughout this process, Fran has had practically total freedom to customize this Harley 883 scrambler; although always respecting the range of colours and graphics that his client and now friend Igor indicated to him.

MODIFICATIONS

On a technical level, it should be noted that this Harley Davidson scrambler is one of the first units of a new production line of sportster scrambler motorcycles that Lord Drake Kustoms has created under the name of “DRAKER 2” (because these models have been created for two seats) in which a new rear has been used consisting of a seat base subframe and mudguards all incorporated in a single piece and built in metal.

In this Sportster scrambler we can highlight components such as Ohlins shock absorbers, custom rims, brake discs, exhaust pipes, front mudguards and an endless number of details that will not leave anyone indifferent.

THE FOUR ELEMENTS

The paint job of this Harley scrambler is quite striking, combining metallic turquoise, cream, gold and red with graphics such as the elements earth, sea, air and fire. In addition, the owners’ names have been placed on the tank along with a gold GEICO that gives its name to this custom scrambler-style motorcycle

BMW K1 RACER 1.2

BMW K1 RACER 1.2

BMW K1 RACER 1.2

Introducing the second unit of the K1 RACER series… The BMW K1 RACER 1.2, a custom bike with a very sporty look that breaks away from the styles used to transform motorbikes such as the BMW K100. This project has been carried out at Lord Drake Kustoms, a customisation and transformation workshop for BMW motorbikes in Spain (Malaga).

ELEGANT AND AGGRESSIVE

Francisco Alí Manen (owner of LDK), was commissioned by a customer who had already seen the first BMW K1 RACER, a NEORACER style transformation as defined by Fran himself.

This customisation work on a BMW motorbike is one of the most impressive that has been done on a k100 model to date in LDK’s motorbike modification workshop.

Transformed from start to finish, it is not the usual modified BMW K100, it is an elegant, aggressive and above all unique custom bike.

MODIFICATIONS

Following in the footsteps of the first unit of this series of custom bikes, Fran and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms the first thing they did as soon as they arrived at their custom bike workshop was to completely dismantle it.

The work on the BMW K1 RACER 1.2 started with the installation of an upside-down fork, the rims were kept as original, then came the tyres, discs and brake calipers. Of course it had to be fitted with half handlebars and then we proceeded to remove the entire subframe and cut and modify part of the chassis to begin to shape what would be the new rear of this spectacular BMW K100 transformed.

The fuel tank has also been kept original. A new rear shock absorber with WP air bottle has been installed, a new subframe has been manufactured and a new rear pillion including seat with custom upholstery has been installed.

All this work has been accompanied by a Motogadget Pro digital odometer and set back foot controls for BMW K100.

The modified exhaust, the whole central exhaust manifold handcrafted with a stainless steel tailpipe gives a brutal sound to the BMW K1 RACER 1.2.

In addition, and like its predecessor, it is fitted with a V-Rod headlight, Motogadget front turn signals and 3:1 rear turn signals and other details in all the endless modifications that this custom bike created by Lord Drake Kustoms with a BMW K100 base has.

MARTINI GRAPHICS

The paintwork is inspired by “Martini” graphics and colours with a graphite grey background and all with a gloss finish.
