This Harley Vrod MUSCLE 330 is a work of Lord Drake Kustoms that has been made in his Harley customization workshop in Malaga (Spain).

On this occasion, the chosen base has been a Vrod Muscle, a Harley Davidson model characterized by a powerful engine designed by Porsche with 122 horsepower.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

This VROD MUSCLE 330 is a mix of BEAUTY and BRUTALITY that leaves everyone with their mouths open. We can say that “Beauty and the Beast” have come together on the same motorcycle.

Fran Manen (owner of LDK) wanted to combine the brutality of a large rear wheel that is very characteristic in transformations of these Harley models with the beauty of a silhouette of elegant curves and nerves and a simple but very attractive paint.

MODIFICATIONS

A 330 Harley rear wheel was chosen (nothing more, nothing less) with custom built RC custom rims and matching brake discs and pulley. Of course, the entire rear end had to be modified, including the swingarm, transmission, etc.

On this Vrod MUSCLE 330, to give more visibility to the tire, a minimalist rear fender has been manufactured to fit the tire thanks to the Legend air suspension for Vrod models.

The rest of the bodywork is made with spectacular lines to give beauty to this beast that initially only stood out for its large 330 rear tire for Harley.

MAZINGER Z SPORTSTER SCRAMBLER

Fists off! The first “Mazinger Z” motorbike has been built by Lord Drake Kustoms in their Harley Davidson custom bike workshop in Malaga (Spain) where they wanted to pay tribute to the famous series, its robot and of course its creator Gō Nagai by creating this MAZINGER Z tribute bike. This is the scrambler bike that Kōji Kabuto would use for his adventures when he was not riding his famous Mazinger Z robot to fight against Dr. Hell.

MODIFICATIONS

Throughout this process, Fran Manen has played the role of Professor Jūzō Kabuto (the builder of the Mazinger Z in the series) but instead of a robot he has created this Sportster Scrambler. Professor Jūzō Kabuto built Mazinger Z to be ridden by his grandson Kōji Kabuto, and in this case, the owner of Lord Drake Kustoms (Fran) has built a Mazinger on two wheels to be ridden by a very special customer.

On a technical level, this Harley Davidson scrambler is one of the first units of a new production line of sportster scrambler motorbikes created by Lord Drake Kustoms under the name of “DRAKER 2” (because these models have been created for two people) which has used a new rear composed of subframe seat base and wings all incorporated in one piece and built in metal. THE COLOURS OF MAZINGER Z

This Cafe Racer called BMW R100 “SILVER BULLET” is another of the BMW transformations that Lord Drake Kustoms has done in his motorbike customization workshop in Velez Malaga (Spain).

AN UNUSUAL CAFE RACER

With this BMW Cafe Racer, the modification concepts have been changed a little and this time we have not opted for off-road knobby tyres, a hanging single seat or enduro-style handlebars, as is usual in the modifications of motorbikes like these that usually have a rather bobber style mixed with touches of scrambler motorbikes.

Francisco Ali Manen, owner of LDK, has opted to make a converted BMW with other details and touches such as half handlebars combined with an almost two-seater seat and wheels with tyres with a rather retro look and a little bit of a knob (almost road).

And the same has been done with the colours, as usually in these BMW R bike conversions the engine is painted in black as well as other components such as the rims.

Elegant and Brutal could be some of the words we can use to define this VROD NIGHTROD 330 recently customized by Lord Drake Kustoms in his motorcycle modification shop located in Malaga (SPAIN).

ELEGANT AND BRUTAL

Francisco Ali Manén (owner of LDK), received a call from a client from Mexico, who wanted a very special custom bike and after a while of conversation the decision was made that it would be a Harley Davidson Vrod with 330 wide rear wheel kit.

To start with the work, Fran Manen chose a Vrod Nightrod Special, a perfect base for this customization work and which also comes standard with an inverted fork and has a powerful 120 horsepower engine.

A Harley Davidson wide rear wheel kit has been installed with custom built RC custom rims and 330 wide rear tires.

Also note that the brake discs and drive pulley match the rims… the LED taillight has been integrated into the fender.

The seat upholstery has been done in black with diamond-shaped stitching with gold thread and engraved escutcheons have been added in antiqued brass with the same logo as the airbox cover.

BLACK AND GOLD

The only instructions the customer gave Fran Manen was that this VROD NIGHTROD 330 should be matte black and gold. Fran took the liberty of adding the gloss black to the color palette and began to create the design so that the ribs of the entire bodywork were highlighted and the gold color fit perfectly, without breaking the elegance of this custom Harley Davidson.

This Harley called Breakout Candy Red, is one of the recent works of motorcycle customizer Francisco A. Manen and his company Lord Drake Kustoms based in Malaga (Spain) and Miami (USA).

BASED ON A HD SOFTAIL BREAKOUT

The base is a Harley Davidson Softail breakout with 103 engine and as it is a custom bike that is already quite nice as standard, Fran Manen (owner of LDK) just wanted to do a restyling to improve and enhance the beauty of this bike.

The main change has been the entire rear of the bike where a new, shorter single-seat rear fender has been installed along with a custom seat.

A side license plate bracket also made by LDK and of course a LEGEND air suspension for softail models, which allows the rear of this custom bike to be raised and lowered so that the fender is fully attached to the tire when stationary.

SPORTSTER SCRAMBLER WEEDOO

We present you the new Harley Sportster Scrambler, a bike customised by Lord Drake Kustoms in our workshop in Malaga (Spain).

A SCRAMBLER FOR TOURING

A few months ago Fran Manen received a call from a customer in Germany who wanted to visit him at his facilities in Malaga to order a custom scrambler type bike based on a Harley Davidson Sportster.

Andy who is the name of the German customer and current owner of the “WEEDOO Scrambler” went to visit Lord Drake Kustoms with his partner. But on this occasion, Fran and the LDK team had a surprise… the vehicle with which Andy and his partner arrived at the door of the workshop was not normal and of enormous dimensions… a huge “SURVIVOR TRUCK” (a 4×4 Mercedes truck) that they had just bought with the aim of starting to travel around the world travelling around the globe.

The idea was to build a scrambler bike that could ride on the back of the truck bed and be used by its owner every time he has to travel to each of the thousands of places he plans to visit, so that he doesn’t have to move the huge truck when visiting cities for example.

This “WEEDOO Scrambler” had to be a two-seater, so Fran Manén had to create his first Sportster Scrambler with a double seat and for this he cut and dismantled the whole rear of this Harley Davidson and created from scratch a new scrambler-type subframe with seat bases, mudguards etc.

The tank used was that of a Sportster Custom, which has a larger capacity than the typical Penaut fuel tanks.

The rest of the components of this Harley scrambler by Lord Drake Kustoms, are the ones that the brand usually uses in other custom Sportster models with scrambler style that they have built up to date, such as the number plate holder, the side number holders, handlebars, engine guard, etc.

The paint colours are military green/olive combined with a beige/cream and red accents. The number 69 is not for the sexual position… it is the year of birth of the owners of the bike.

This Harley called HD “EVO 240” is what happens to a 1996 Evolution-powered Heritage Classic Softail when it arrives at Lord Drake Kustoms’ Harley Davidson custom workshop in Spain.

BASED ON A HERITAGE SOFTAIL

The base used for this project was a Harley Softail Heritage from the collection of the owner of Lord Drake Kustoms (Francisco Ali Manen) and that it was in collector’s condition and with only 7,500 kilometres, despite being from 1996… or in other words, a motor evolution practically new.

MODIFICATIONS

The HD “EVO 240” was completely dismantled, and only the engine, chassis and front suspension were used. The swingarm was removed and the subframe was cut… and from there the magic began to transform this classic into a bike with a totally modern, aggressive, sporty and of course custom bike style.

A teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a new swingarm to accommodate a 240 wheel, a rear wing that fits snugly to the wheel thanks to the legend Harley softail air suspension, a side-mounted number plate bracket and a new seat… all custom-built.

At the front, the entire fork has been restored and lowered and then powdercoated in black. A minimalist front mudguard and a spoiler or keel to cover the front of the engine have been produced. Plus new handlebars, Motogadget digital odometer and many other details.

Two stunning chrome Harley billet wheels (the rear with 240 and 18-inch diameter tyres and the front with 120 and 21-inch diameter tyres) and another radical touch on this bike are the two black exhausts and the impressive air filter with the same silhouette as the exhausts, but in chrome.

The paintwork is graphite grey with a central black stripe accompanied by two orange stripes, all with a matt finish. The seat is upholstered with black micro-perforated leather and double diamond stitching in orange.

This Harley Davidson completely transformed and which we have called “SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL” is a work done by the Lord Drake Kustoms team in their custom bike and Harley workshop in Spain.

This project has started with a Harley Davidson Sportster base, specifically with the 2007 custom model, which little by little and thanks to the client’s indications and the work done by Fran Manen (owner of LDK) and all his team, has become a spectacular custom bike with bobber airs mixed with purely traditional custom style touches.

At the rear the subframe has been shortened to accommodate a new wider rim with 200 Sportster wheel with Avon Cobra tyre, single seat fixed to the chassis, 10.5 inch burly shocks, side arm Harley number plate holder handcrafted by Lord Drake Kustoms, as well as the rear mudguard.

In this “SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL”, we have also proceeded to the replacement of the original custom tank with one of the Harley PEANUT models , which has been installed with a pop-up fuel cap, a drag bar handlebar, with LED indicators under the button panels, biltwell grips and as a finishing touch to the front and very noteworthy… a small dome similar to the ones used on the first Harley Vrod models..

The front mudguard has been trimmed and the Sportster odometer has also been repositioned on the side. Finally, an impressive Harley Sportster cone-shaped Screaming Eagle air cleaner has been fitted, along with Santee exhausts with heat shield tape.

And as for the paint and finish of this custom bike… it was all very simple: just black for the whole bike in matt and satin finishes except for the Harley Davidson Willie G Skull logo which has been airbrushed in graphite grey on the fuel tank and which gives the name to this “SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL”.

In this post we show a beautiful BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER that has been modified in the workshop of Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga (Spain).

A CLASSIC BMW

This classic BMW motorcycle arrived to the hands of Francisco Ali Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) in a state that surprised him, as it was quite acceptable, not to say almost perfect (at least aesthetically speaking) … and it is normal that these BMW models usually arrive at the motorcycle customization shops in a rather deplorable condition.

MODIFICATIONS

We started by disassembling everything to paint the engine, which was previously gray, and to handcraft the entire rear of this custom bike, from the fender to the single-seater bobber seat support, including the arm and license plate support.

New shocks with air bottles were installed and as usual in this type of BMW customizations with scrambler touches, Continental TKC tires were installed, as well as a Biltwell seat.

A tracker handlebar of the Biltwell brand accompanied by some grips of the same brand and some LED turn signals at the ends blaze model of the brand motogadget, as well as the mini digital odometer of the German brand make up the top front of this BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER.

The suspension has been modified and adjusted, rubber bellows have been added and the braking has been improved as a second disc and caliper have been added to this model that arrived at Lord Drake Kustoms workshop with a single front disc.

Engine fenders with an auxiliary light, mirrors, LED lighting at the rear, modified exhausts with anti-heat tape and custom tails are other of the many details to highlight in this beautifully transformed BMW R90.

Finally, the seat has been upholstered with rhombus patterns and the whole bike has been painted in black, using gloss black for the bodywork (in the case of the two fenders) and black and coppery orange pearl (in the case of the fuel tank).

A SPRINGER FORK BASE

The initial idea was to do this project on a Heritage Softail, but after several conversations between Fran Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) and the client, they came to the conclusion that, if it was done with a springer fork base, the result would be more spectacular.

Once this Harley Cross Bones arrived at our customizing workshop in Malaga (Spain), we got down to work… because the idea of the design and the final result was very clear, both from the client and from Francisco Ali Manen.

MODIFICATIONS

All metal work has been handcrafted at LDK. Both mudguards were fabricated from metal and the rear mudguard had the position and brake light integrated and two perforated side brackets were fabricated to house the indicators and a Harley Davidson side number plate bracket.

The entire subframe was also modified to accommodate that new rear wing and a Harley Softail bobber seat, whose base and mount was also fabricated and finished with a spectacular handcrafted leather upholstery to match the fuel tank tie.

On this Harley Davidson Cross Bones Bobber, other elements have also been added such as the handlebars, Vance and Hines Shorshots exhaust pipes for Softail, a Vity’s Design air filter, grips, indicators, etc…

BRITISH RACIN GREEN

But the highlight of this custom bike by Lord Drake Kustoms is undoubtedly the paint job, which has combined the “British Racing Green” with an aged marble effect. All separated by the original Cross Bones pinstriping.
