SPORTSTER BOBBER SPARKBLUE

We present you a transformed Sportster Forty Eight called ‘SPORSTER BOBBER SPARKBLUE’… it is a bobber style bike that has been customised in the Harley Davidson motorbike workshop that Lord Drake Kustoms has in Málaga (Spain).

BASED ON A FORTY-EIGHT

Francisco Ali Manen and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms have transformed this Harley Davidson Sportster Forty Eight XL1200X into a beautiful and very stylish bobber.

MODIFICATIONS

The subframe has been shortened to make it a single-seater and a wider rear wheel with a 200 Sportster tyre has been fitted, followed by a single seat fixed to the chassis, 10.5 inch shocks, Harley side arm number plate holder handcrafted by the Lord Drake Kustoms team, as well as the rear mudguard… as usual on these Harley Sportster conversions.

Seat and air filter

On this ‘SPORSTER BOBBER SPARKBLUE’ a drag bar has been installed and the original odometer has been repositioned on the left side of the bike, keeping the light indicators on the turrets and of course all this has been accompanied by new grips, LED indicators, etc.

The front mudguard has also been trimmed and a new minimalist Harley Davidson Sportster air filter has been fitted, along with Vance and Hines Short Shots exhausts without the original heat shields and taped with black heat tape.

PURPURINE BLUE

The seat has been upholstered with rhomboids with blue threads and stitching to match the blue colour with glitter and original Harley Davidsongraphics … the rest of the bike has been kept in black with the exception of some details such as some engine covers which have been kept in aluminium or chrome.

BMW R BRAT

BMW R BRAT

BMW R BRAT

The new BMW R BRAT by Lord Drake Kustoms is a perfect example of how classic can be transformed into something completely modern. Born from the purest spirit of classic BMW boxer models, this bike has been reinvented with a brat style that combines minimalism, character, and a generous dose of authenticity.

The result is an elegant yet wild machine, ready to enjoy both in the city and on the open road, with that unmistakable stamp that characterizes all the projects of Fran Manen and his team.

From tradition to Brat style

The basis of this build is a 1980s BMW R80, a robust, reliable motorcycle with legendary mechanics that has stood the test of time. At Lord Drake Kustoms, this German classic has been stripped of all unnecessary components to create a lightweight, clean bike with a completely revamped aesthetic.

The brat style, born in Japan and adopted by the world’s leading manufacturers, seeks precisely that: comfortable, urban motorcycles with a timeless look. The BMW R BRAT takes this philosophy to the max, with a relaxed riding position and a line that blends retro with modern.

MODIFICATIONS

Every part of this BMW R BRAT has been carefully redesigned and improved.

  • Modified subframe: cut and adapted to accommodate a flat, brown leather seat, handmade.
  • Revised suspension: optimized for improved handling in the city and on the highway.
  • Spoked wheels with studded tires, providing a scrambler touch and a more aggressive aesthetic.

Handcrafted seat

  • Handcrafted exhaust, with a deeper and more powerful sound.
  • Classic headlight, minimalist LED turn signals, and a simplified instrument cluster for a clean, modern look.

Every detail has been designed to maintain the vintage essence, but with a more functional and contemporary approach.

Painting and finishes

The fuel tank has been painted pearl white, with the iconic BMW logo standing out in contrast. This understated yet elegant finish reflects the philosophy of this build: less is more.

The engine and chassis have been finished in matte black, combined with satin black and chrome elements that provide visual balance and character. All paintwork was handcrafted in the Lord Drake Kustoms workshop, ensuring a perfect and exclusive finish.

A Brat with her own character

The BMW R BRAT doesn’t seek attention with flashiness, but with personality. It’s a motorcycle designed for those who value authenticity, handcrafted design, and exclusivity.

With this creation, Lord Drake Kustoms once again demonstrates its mastery when it comes to reinterpreting classics, combining elegance, functionality, and a custom spirit in a single machine.

The BMW K75 SCRAMBLER BLACK is a custom bike made by Lord Drake Kustoms, a BMW motorbike conversion workshop in Spain.

ALL SCRAMBLER

Francisco Alí Manén (owner of LDK) received indications from the owner of this BMW K75 that had been standing for a few years to convert it and transform it into a scrambler style bike and all in black colour; but not matt black as usual, but gloss black.

MODIFICATIONS

This BMW K75 SCRAMBLER BLACK is characterised like other similar units by Continental TKC 80 tyres, tracker handlebar, seat and subframe modified to give it that Street tracker or Scrambler style.

In addition, the exhaust system on this BMW K has been modified by fitting an exhaust tailpipe to the original headers.

YAMAHA XVS DRAG STAR BOBBER

YAMAHA XVS DRAG STAR BOBBER

YAMAHA XVS DRAG STAR BOBBER

This Yamaha XVS Drag Star Bobber is one of the most recent works of customization of bobber style motorcycles that Lord Drake Kustoms has done in his workshop of motorcycle transformations in Spain, on a custom motorcycle base that is not of the Harley Davidson brand.

A TRANSFORMED JAPANESE

“Japanese also have the right to be transformed… I mean motorcycles!”. That was one of the phrases of Francisco Alí Manén (owner of LDK) when he saw the result of this customization work done on the base of a Yamaha Drag Star XVS 650.

Many people think that to have a nice bobber or custom bike you have to make them on a Harley base; but we forget about some models of Japanese custom bikes that have a softail type chassis very similar to the “big twin” family of the American brand and that if they work well can result in spectacular custom bikes at much more economical prices.

MODIFICATIONS

On this “Yamaha XVS Drag Star Bobber” the process has been the same as on other bobber bikes they have customized at Lord Drake Kustoms… Disassembly of the entire rear and front, fabrication of rear fender and bobber seat for Yamaha, along with matching license plate bracket and front fender.

SUZUKI VL800 BOBBER

SUZUKI VL800 BOBBER

SUZUKI VL800 BOBBER

This SUZUKI VL800 BOBBER has been a work of transformation of motorcycle in bobber style made in our cafe racer customizations workshop in Malaga (Spain).

In the Lord Drake Kustoms team, we are never closed to work with custom bikes of different brands and models; and in this case it was a very special bike and difficult to find in these times, a SUZUKI VL800.

A NEW LIFE

The owner of this classic SUZUKI, was a customer from Cordoba who already followed the work of Fran Manen (owner of LDK) and his team for quite some time and left in the hands of Lord Drake Kustoms this bike that had been standing for several years and who wanted to give it a new life.

Francisco Alí Manén chose to make a bobber style transformation with it, because for this type of chassis is one of the styles of motorcycle customization that give better results in terms of aesthetics and comfort.

MODIFICATIONS

First, the whole bike was disassembled and mechanically overhauled, because after so many years of being stopped, several components had deteriorated. Subsequently we started with the rear of this SUZUKI VL800 BOBBER where a bobber style rear fender was fabricated, the shocks were changed for lower ones and a handmade license plate holder was installed.

Handlebar

At the front, the handlebars were replaced, the front suspension was modified and the front fender was shortened. All this was completed with a bobber seat without springs and other details such as exhaust with heat tape and custom tails, lighting, rubber fork bellows, digital odometer motogadget mini, etc., etc..

BLACK AND YELLOW

The final touch was a gloss black paint with lines and graphics in yellow, where we must highlight the medical logo or the number 88 that have a great meaning for its owner that he is a doctor.

HOMOLOGATION

As a final result we have this SUZUKI VL800 BOBBER that has been homologated for Spanish territory after its customization at Lord Drake Kustoms, and that currently rolls through the streets of Cordoba from the hands of its owner.
