SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL

This Harley Davidson completely transformed and which we have called “SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL” is a work done by the Lord Drake Kustoms team in their custom bike and Harley workshop in Spain.

A 2007 CUSTOM MODEL

This project has started with a Harley Davidson Sportster base, specifically with the 2007 custom model, which little by little and thanks to the client’s indications and the work done by Fran Manen (owner of LDK) and all his team, has become a spectacular custom bike with bobber airs mixed with purely traditional custom style touches.

MODIFICATIONS

At the rear the subframe has been shortened to accommodate a new wider rim with 200 Sportster wheel with Avon Cobra tyre, single seat fixed to the chassis, 10.5 inch burly shocks, side arm Harley number plate holder handcrafted by Lord Drake Kustoms, as well as the rear mudguard.

Headlight detail

Domed lighthouse

In this “SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL”, we have also proceeded to the replacement of the original custom tank with one of the Harley PEANUT models , which has been installed with a pop-up fuel cap, a drag bar handlebar, with LED indicators under the button panels, biltwell grips and as a finishing touch to the front and very noteworthy… a small dome similar to the ones used on the first Harley Vrod models..

The front mudguard has been trimmed and the Sportster odometer has also been repositioned on the side. Finally, an impressive Harley Sportster cone-shaped Screaming Eagle air cleaner has been fitted, along with Santee exhausts with heat shield tape.

BLACK AND GREY

And as for the paint and finish of this custom bike… it was all very simple: just black for the whole bike in matt and satin finishes except for the Harley Davidson Willie G Skull logo which has been airbrushed in graphite grey on the fuel tank and which gives the name to this “SPORTSTER BOBBER SKULL”.

BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER

BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER

BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER

In this post we show a beautiful BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER that has been modified in the workshop of Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga (Spain).

A CLASSIC BMW

This classic BMW motorcycle arrived to the hands of Francisco Ali Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) in a state that surprised him, as it was quite acceptable, not to say almost perfect (at least aesthetically speaking) … and it is normal that these BMW models usually arrive at the motorcycle customization shops in a rather deplorable condition.

MODIFICATIONS

We started by disassembling everything to paint the engine, which was previously gray, and to handcraft the entire rear of this custom bike, from the fender to the single-seater bobber seat support, including the arm and license plate support.

Seat detail

Hanging bobber seat

New shocks with air bottles were installed and as usual in this type of BMW customizations with scrambler touches, Continental TKC tires were installed, as well as a Biltwell seat.

A tracker handlebar of the Biltwell brand accompanied by some grips of the same brand and some LED turn signals at the ends blaze model of the brand motogadget, as well as the mini digital odometer of the German brand make up the top front of this BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER.

The suspension has been modified and adjusted, rubber bellows have been added and the braking has been improved as a second disc and caliper have been added to this model that arrived at Lord Drake Kustoms workshop with a single front disc.

Engine fenders with an auxiliary light, mirrors, LED lighting at the rear, modified exhausts with anti-heat tape and custom tails are other of the many details to highlight in this beautifully transformed BMW R90.

BLACK AND ORANGE

Finally, the seat has been upholstered with rhombus patterns and the whole bike has been painted in black, using gloss black for the bodywork (in the case of the two fenders) and black and coppery orange pearl (in the case of the fuel tank).

HOMOLOGATION

Finally, this BMW R90 BOBBER SCRAMBLER has been legalized thanks to Lord Drake Kustoms’ own homologation service for converted motorcycles for the Spanish mainland.

HD CROSS BONES BOBBER

Harley Davidson Cross Bones Bobber, that’s the name of this bobber-style bike that has been transformed in the Lord Drake Kustoms motorcycle customisation workshop in Spain.

A SPRINGER FORK BASE

The initial idea was to do this project on a Heritage Softail, but after several conversations between Fran Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) and the client, they came to the conclusion that, if it was done with a springer fork base, the result would be more spectacular.

Once this Harley Cross Bones arrived at our customizing workshop in Malaga (Spain), we got down to work… because the idea of the design and the final result was very clear, both from the client and from Francisco Ali Manen.

MODIFICATIONS

All metal work has been handcrafted at LDK. Both mudguards were fabricated from metal and the rear mudguard had the position and brake light integrated and two perforated side brackets were fabricated to house the indicators and a Harley Davidson side number plate bracket.

The entire subframe was also modified to accommodate that new rear wing and a Harley Softail bobber seat, whose base and mount was also fabricated and finished with a spectacular handcrafted leather upholstery to match the fuel tank tie.

On this Harley Davidson Cross Bones Bobber, other elements have also been added such as the handlebars, Vance and Hines Shorshots exhaust pipes for Softail, a Vity’s Design air filter, grips, indicators, etc…

BRITISH RACIN GREEN

But the highlight of this custom bike by Lord Drake Kustoms is undoubtedly the paint job, which has combined the “British Racing Green” with an aged marble effect. All separated by the original Cross Bones pinstriping.

Recently, Lord Drake Kustoms had the honour of delivering in person a custom bike for Formula 1 legend and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Bertrand Gachot.

It is a Harley Davidson Vrod that has become a real beast called the VROD 260 BG.

Gachot, happy for the work done by Fran Manen and his team, has signed a partnership between his energy drink brand “HYPE Energy Drink and Lord Drake Kustoms.

Bernard Gachot’s Dubai-based company is planning a custom bike that will carry his brand around the world, among many other collaborations that we will be announcing soon.

SPORTSTER “HAND ON THE TORCH”

SPORTSTER “HAND ON THE TORCH”

SPORTSTER “HAND ON THE TORCH”

This SPORTSTER “HAND ON THE TORCH” is a fast paced scrambler bike customised by Francisco Ali Manen and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga (SPAIN).

BASED ON AN ALBUM COVER

At the request of his client, Fran Manen (Owner of LDK) was commissioned to make this Harley Davidson scrambler, but on this occasion, inspired by a very special theme… The cover of a jazz rap band’s album.

The name of the chosen album is “HAND ON THE TORCH” (hence the name of this Sportster Scrambler); an album belonging to the jazz and hip-hop fusion group Us3 and sporting a colourful cover on a cream or beige background. And it was precisely at this point that the client indicated that, instead of cream or beige for the background, he preferred white.

MODIFICATIONS

This Harley Davidson Sportster “HAND ON THE TORCH” is a custom bike built on a XL 883 low and has been based on the transformation of the famous BULTRACKER and SOULBREAKER models that Lord Drake Kustoms usually uses in their customisation work of Harley bikes with scrambler style.

The 2 in 1 exhaust RSD tracker together with Harley BIG SPOKE rims are as usual some of the characteristic components of these models and of course the BMW 1 inch handlebars, the Motogadget Mini odometer integrated in the handlebar turrets.

Odometer detail

The mudguards, number plate holder and spoiler are handcrafted by LDK. And the front suspension has been modified and fitted with top covers (on which the name “HAND ON THE TORCH” has been painted) and the rear has been fitted with nothing more and nothing less than a pair of OHLINS shock absorbers for Sportster.

MULTICOLOR

Finally, a spectacular paint job inspired by the album cover with different colours such as blue, orange, red and green on a white background has been used on the two mudguards, fuel tank and also on the number holders. The GMR graphics and the number 411 are two other details airbrushed on the fuel tank and number holders at the customer’s request.

Other parts of the bike are painted in black and white with gold details, such as the front suspension cylinders and the rear swingarm.

ROLLING AT FULL SPEED

This Harley Davidson Sportster “HAND ON THE TORCH” once it was finalised by Lord Drake Kustoms, has found its way into the hands of its owner and is now probably rolling through the streets at full speed thanks to the brutal sound of its exhausts that are music … although not exactly jazz or hip-hop!

TRIUMPH DARK TRACKER

TRIUMPH DARK TRACKER

TRIUMPH DARK TRACKER

In this post we present the transformation of a Triumph Bonneville T100 motorbike that has been done in our Triumph motorbike customization workshop in Malaga (Spain) which we have called “TRIUMPH DARK TRACKER”.

ALL BRAT

It is neither a pure Scrambler style custom bike nor does it have anything to do with the Cafe Racer style; perhaps its best definition would be a Brat style bike which is something Lord Drake Kustoms has been doing for quite some time with the Triumph Bonneville T100.

This “TRIUMPH DARK TRACKER” is a fun, light and funky bike that you can use every day on streets, roads and lanes… hence the idea of the owner of Lord Drake Kustoms (Fran Manen) to do a Triumph Bonneville T100, which is one of his favourite bikes to do this style of transformations.

MODIFICATIONS

At the front, there is an upgraded braking system with a larger diameter brake disc and Brembo brake caliper for Triumph, a Vrod headlight, Motogadget M-blaze disc indicators, Motogadget Pro odometer and Biltwell enduro-style handlebars.

At the rear, the subframe has been shortened and modified, a small rear mudguard has been made with an LED light, a seat upholstered with black diamonds has been added and a new number plate holder with side mounting has been added.

To finish the modification and transformation of this Triumph motorbike, some mixed tyres were installed, new shock absorbers with air bottle, and a lot of details in the engine area such as the crankcase cover, engine guards, side covers, carburettor covers, pinion covers, etc.

MATTE BLACK

The colour is very simple… all matt black except for the Triumph lettering on the tank which has been painted in gold. Many of these black finished parts have been electrostatically powder coated by Metal Colors.

HOMOLOGATION

After completion of the “TRIUMPH DARK TRACKER”, a completely modified motorbike for Spanish territory has been homologated in our own vehicle modification homologation department.

SPORTSTER S 240 DRAKER

SPORTSTER S 240 DRAKER

SPORTSTER S 240 DRAKER

The SPORTSTER S 240 DRAKER is the new Harley Davidson Sportster S 1250 with 240 rear wheel that motorbike customiser Francisco Alí Manén and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms have transformed in their motorbike customisation workshop in Málaga (Spain).

Lord Drake Kustoms, with facilities in Miami (USA) and Velez Malaga (SPAIN), is currently one of the leading companies in the transformation of custom Harleys and part of this is because they always try to innovate when it comes to the way they customising motorbikes. This time they have done it again, as they are probably one of the first customisers in the world to have fitted a 240 rear wheel on a Sportster S 1250 1250 with custom rims.

A WHEEL OF 240

The owner of this Harley bike asked Fran Manen (owner of LDK) from the very beginning if this bike could be fitted with a much fatter rear wheel. Fran didn’t hesitate and got down to work and was very motivated, as he had it on very good authority that to date only one other company had installed a 240 rear wheel on a Sportster S worldwide… And he would be and has been the first to do it with spoked rims, in this case big spokes… And that’s how the “SPORTSTER S 240 DRAKER” came into being.

MODIFICATIONS

Handlebars, cut and modified front mudguard, indicators, a small mask over the headlight are some of the components that have been modified on the front of this custom Harley bike.

On the rear a brutal 2 in 1 exhaust finished in black, modification of the subframe, modification of the seat with custom upholstery, handmade Sportster 1250 license plate holder, LED lights and indicators and much more.

And finally, two spectacular BIG SPOKE wheels, with different sizes from the original ones and with a rear wheel measuring 8.5 x 18 to house a 240 Avon tyre on this Harley Davidson Sportster S; with new front and rear brake discs.

HARLEY ORANGE

The icing on the cake was the striking Harley orange paintwork combined with pearl white and black and magnesium brown detailing and pinstriping. The paintwork is particularly noteworthy, with magnesium brown spokes and orange rims with 1250 graphics on the rear rim in black.

HOMOLOGATION

Finally, we proceeded to carry out the homologation and ITV of all the reforms made on this brutal Harley Davidson “SPORTSTER S 240 DRAKER” (with the exception of the exhaust pipe) so that it can roll through the streets of Madrid in the hands of its owner.

BMW R NINE T

BMW R NINE T

BMW R NINE T (M EDITION)

The new beast from Lord Drake Kustoms is a BMW R NINE T which they have called “M EDITION” and which they have customized at their facilities in Vélez Málaga (Spain)… A transformed and totally new motorcycle, which was directly from the BMW dealer to the famous Fran Manen customization workshop.

A NEORACER STYLE

This BMW R NINE T, which Francisco Alí Manén (owner of LDK) has defined as a customized motorcycle with NEORACER style, is a 2023 model, which its owner decided to customize before going out on the street with it for the first time.

MODIFICATIONS

As soon as we arrived at the motorcycle transformation workshop in Malaga, the entire rear part began to be disassembled to modify the subframe and the entire seat, which was upholstered in perforated leatherette with red thread stitching.

A new license plate support with lateral arm has been installed that incorporates the rear turn signals with position and brake light; and a wider rear tire than the original to make a much more aggressive rear.

The spoiler or lower engine cover has been another of the touches that have given a new, more aggressive air to this BMW R NINE T “M EDITION”, together with the conical air filters and the minimalist exhaust pipe and a specialty of Lord Drake Kustoms.

The handlebar has also been replaced by clip-on handlebars, with new mirrors on the grips and the two clocks have been removed to install a new digital odometer with a black screen for the BMW NINE T, finally the front headlight has been smoked.

MATT GRAPHITE GREY

And of course, finally, a spectacular paint in matt graphite gray with the colors of BMW “M”, in addition to painting in matt black almost all the components of the bike that originally came in aluminum color.

The result is a totally transformed BMW motorcycle that, more than a cafe racer motorcycle, is a NEORACER beast, which combines brutality, strength and elegance… and which is called the BMW R NINE T “M EDITION”.

This Harley Davidson Nightrod which has now become the “VROD 260 BG” is a customisation work carried out by Francisco Alí Manén and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms in their Harley motorbike workshop in Spain.

A MOTORBIKE FOR BERTRAND GACHOT

This custom bike was commissioned by Fran Manen (LDK) from a very special and demanding customer (especially when it comes to the motor world). He is none other than former Formula 1 driver and winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Bertrand Gachot.

Anecdotally, it was Michael Schumacher, the Formula 1 driver who was to take Bertrand Gachot’s place at the Jordan team when he had to retire for the season. Currently, Gachot is active in the marketing of Hype energy drinks.

MODIFICATIONS

A 260 rear wheel has been fitted along with a Harley Vrod air suspension and a custom rear mudguard. A handcrafted number plate holder and a minimalist passenger seat have also been produced, together with a driver’s seat upholstered in micro-perforated leather with double stitching in green thread.

SPORTSTER BOBBER RSD

SPORTSTER BOBBER RSD

SPORTSTER BOBBER RSD

This custom Harley known as “SPORTSTER BOBBER RSD” is a new work of Francisco Alí Manén owner of the motorcycle customization company Lord Drake Kustoms in Vélez Málaga (Spain) and Miami (USA).

CUSTOM RSD RIMS

At first sight it might look like just another bobber bike, built with a Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883 base… but it’s not.

Several details make the difference in this spectacular work and one of them and perhaps the most important is the black and aluminum RSD custom rims for Harley that have been installed on this custom bike. In addition, the rear is 200 wide and 18 inches in diameter, to give the rear end a more brutal look.

MODIFICATIONS

The LDK team has manufactured the license plate holder, the front fender, the single seat rear fender for Sportster and other details such as the support and bobber seat base.

Half handlebars, a small keel, an LED headlight, turn signals or Santee LAF exhausts are other details to be highlighted together with elements such as the Sportster bobber seat upholstered with diamond design.

DETAILS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Fran Manen tells us: “Sometimes a converted bike with a very plain and simple style, can become a very spectacular custom bike, just with a few details that make the difference from the rest… and this is one of those cases… and all thanks to the wheels and the elegance in putting all the parts together in this “SPORTSTER BOBBER RSD”.

This bike can be ordered from anywhere on the planet, Lord Drake Kustoms, has a worldwide motorcycle shipping service… so don’t wait any longer and order yours!
