The idea of a motorcycle “Agathizada”
This motorcycle is the result of a meeting between Fran Manen, owner of Lord Drake Kustoms, and the prestigious designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada at a charity gala held by Antonio Banderas in Miami.
In this gala, which took place during the Miami Fashion Week 2019, Fran Manen donated two of his bikes for auction. A common friend introduced them and after a while of conversation the idea arose that it would be great to make an Agatha-style motorcycle, to color the streets of Madrid and the rest of Spain.
Fran Manen, decided to transform that idea into a real project. So they both agreed to meet in Madrid, at the Agatha studio, once they returned from Miami.
At that meeting, Agatha’s team and the designer herself explained to Fran all the details, concepts and styles of the famous fashion brand. So, once back at his custom workshop in Malaga, he was ready to start work.
Building the Agatha motorcycle
The first thing that Fran was clear about is that a Cafe racer or Scrambler motorcycle should not be the end result; It must be a unique motorcycle with style and exclusive image. It didn’t have to look like any style motorcycle transformation or any kind of Harley custom… it just had to be an “Agatha Ruiz de la Prada” motorcycle.
Once LDK had the clear concept, work began in its motorcycle workshop in Malaga (which is currently probably one of the largest Cafe Racer and Harley workshops in Spain). After several months of work, many hearts, colors and lots of fun, was born the “Harley Agathizada”.
The presentation in society
This motorcycle was presented by the designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Fran Manen at the charity gala of the Spanish Association Against Cancer that was held in Marbella on August 4, 2019. There were personalities and celebrities such as Ana Obregón, Boris Izaguirre, Bertín Osborne, José María Aznar and Ana Botella, to name a few.
Currently this motorcycle is for sale and can be seen in the Cafe Racer and Custom workshop of Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga. They also offer worldwide shipping.
